The definition of trust believes that trust contains two elements-the willingness to trust(willing to be at risk)and trust belief(Judgment of the credibility of the other). The returns of trust and trust can increase human cooperation, bring benefits to people, and improve people's subjective well-being.Trust promotes the physical and mental health of the elderly, helps individuals reduce social anxiety, reduces social loneliness, protects individuals from chronic diseases, and protects the health of the elderly,Therefore, once a trust violation occurs,it will inevitably affect the mental health of the elderly. The elderly have social relationships no less than those of young people,In social interaction, the elderly will not only suffer from trust issues from strangers, but also trust issues from close people.Regarding the trust of the elderly, there is a contradiction in the existing research results.Studying the trust and trust repair of the elderly on the one hand can complement the shortcomings of existing research,on the other hand,it can also provide some remedies for those who inadvertently live up to the trust of the elderly, thereby promoting the elderly's mental health. This research is mainly composed of three experiments.Experiment 1 uses the trust game paradigm to explore the differences in trust between the elderly and young people when they face different trusted parties.Experiment 2 uses a trust game paradigm.Based on experiment 1,it further explores the differences in trust repair between the elderly and young people when they face trustees with different levels of intimacy.Experiment 3 mainly uses the method of scenario simulation to explore whether the open time perspective and closed time perspective can affect the trust and truest repair of the elderly and young people. The study found:(1)Older people, like young people, show great trust in close relationship;Older people are more distrustful of middle relationships than younger people; In trusting strangers, older people show more distrust than young people.(2)It is useful to apologize in the process of trust repair;Compared with young people, the elder people have a higher level of trust and repair in close, general relationships; The elderly's level of trust in strangers has no difference before and after the damage to trust, and has always been manifested as distrust.(3)From the perspective of open and limited future time, the level of trust and trust repair of the elderly has not changed.
