The Organization And Research Of Statue Inscriptions During The Northern Wei Dynasty

With the development of the study of stone carving documents,the statue inscriptions,as a part of the stone carving documents,gradually attracted the attention of the academic circles.The statue inscriptions during the Northern Wei Dynasty occupied a very important position in the statue inscriptions of each period with its own unique style.However,at present,the research on the Northern Wei Dynasty's statue inscriptions is still relatively scattered,which is basically at the initial stage,especially in the aspect of sorting out the basic historical data.This paper compiles a concise catalogue for the visible historical materials of the Northern Wei Dynasty,in order to fill in the blank of the catalogue.At the same time,it also makes an in-depth study of the Northern Wei Dynasty.In this paper,the Northern Wei Dynasty statue inscriptions is the research object.The research is mainly from five aspects :the catalog,catalogue,text,research and geographical location.It is a detailed summary of its description in various works.In chronological order,the reign title is indicated,and the end of the article is attached to the chronicle of statues for textual research.All the books and periodicals involved shall use abbreviations for easy retrieval.Up to the year of 2020,there are 1488 records of statues in the Northern Wei Dynasty,including 1242 records of chronological statues and 246 records of non chronological statues.
