The drama Xin Bian Mu Lian Jiu Mu Quan Shan Xi Wen(referred to as Quan Shan Ji),which appeared in the middle and late Ming Dynasty,is the earliest literary drama and most influential version of Mulian drama that can be seen in exitence.It is the literary writer Zheng Zhizhen's succession to the story of Mulian saving his mother.It based on the stage book of inherited Mulian drama and adapted from the author's creativity.This story recorded from Buddhist sutras and gradually becoming known as Buddhism spreads in China.And while merging with Chinese cultures such as Confucianism and Taoism,it has also been in the process of continuous evolution.Not only has the story content and ideas become increasingly rich,but the subject matter and genre have also become increasingly diverse.Including sutras,bian wen,operas,bao juan,etc.On the basis of Zheng Zhizhen's own experience,background of the times,and the historical evolution of the story that Mulian saving his mother,this thesis sorts out and elaborates the thoughts of good and evil contained in Quan Shan Ji.The drama takes the traditional human ethics and moral norms of Confucian as the main spiritual core and domination.It uses the karma theory of Buddhism and chenfu theory of Taoism to narrate the thoughts of good and evil.It presents the social ethics of Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism,and condenses the ethical essence of Chinese traditional culture.Through the analysis of the good and evil thoughts in Quan Shan Ji and the interpretation of the corresponding social effects,this thesis summarizes its educational function of "combining education with pleasure",and points out its nonnegligible role in stabilizing the order of feudal social.
