The traditional view is that when faced with a complicated decision, people are used to considered to solve the problem, however, more and more research suggests the opposite point of view, the use of unconscious thought is easier than the conscious thought to make a decision. The researchers in creative problem solving, talent selection, lies recognition, moral judgment, and other fields were found unconscious thought advantage effect.Based on this,Dijksterhuis and Nordgren put forward the theory of unconscious thought, and the study of unconscious thought has become one of the research hotspots in the field of social cognition, breaking the traditional idea that "thinking hard will lead to good results".The theory of unconscious thought includes six core principles, one of which is the weight principle, which holds that unconscious thought is better at grasping the natural weight of decision-making attributes. It is found that unconscious thought can automatically assign appropriate weights to decision attributes. In previous studies, subjects were often given only one objective problem to think about, and they only needed to assign accurate weights to each attribute once. However,we often encounter the situation that the decision goal changes, and then we need to re-assign the appropriate weight to the acquired decision attributes according to the new goal. The research shows that unconscious thought is flexible and goal-oriented.Therefore,this study investigates whether unconscious thought can reassign the weight of decision-making attributes by manipulating experimental materials and targets.Rights with assigned by changing target and manipulate experiment material,Experiment 1 in 4 after the cell phone information presentation, participants can be divided into four groups, two groups consciously thought group, two groups of unconscious thought group,to one group of conscious thought and a set of unconscious thought subjects only suitable for the old people's mobile phone Settings chosen target, conscious thought or distraction after goal question;Another group of conscious and unconscious thought group subjects after receiving select suitable for the old people's mobile target, the participants consciously thinking or doing distraction task,at this time, don't make decisions, but rather try to be reset to choosesuits own mobile target, the participants consciously thought or doing distraction task again, finally asked subjects to 4 degree of cell phone suitable for their own use.Experiment 1 found that when the target(target for selecting suitable for the elderly),the unconscious thought set of participants in suit old people to use mobile phone score significantly higher scores for suitable for their use of mobile phone, when the target changes after(target of the cell phone change to choose suitable for the elderly to choose to suit their own mobile phones),the unconscious thought set of subjects for suitable for their use of mobile phone score significantly higher scores of suit old people to use mobile phones.Experiment 2 in order to eliminate the participants in the decisions associated with yourself for others, the target after order, the results showed that when the target unchanged, the unconscious thought set of subjects for suitable for their own use mobile phone score significantly higher scores of suit old people to use mobile phone, when the target after the change, the unconscious thought set of subjects to suit old people to use mobile phone score significantly higher scores for suitable for their use of mobile phone; To rule out the participants in the process of information presentation form online judgment, the effect of Experiment 3 increased immediately decision-making group, the results showed that the unconscious thought target change group participants tourist areas suitable for young people to score significantly higher score in tourist areas suitable for the elderly, but immediate decision making and conscious thought goals change group score did not differ in the two areas.Based on the above experiments, this study shows that unconscious thought can reassign the weight of decision attributes.
