Citizens are one of the important objects of literary and artistic works,especially in drama.After the founding of New China,the citizen class was scattered among different classes,and its image is often obscured by class nature and unit system,so it is seldom paid attention to.But the image of citizens in this period has significance,because it reflects the changes in literary and artistic policies,the changes of the unit system.As the core magazine of the highest theatrical institution in the country,the Play Magazine has long been the main publishing position of drama,opera and drama scripts.Its dramatic works widely and effectively reflect the overall image of the citizens at this stage.From 1952 to 1966,a series of social,political and economic changes led to the exit of the image of the citizen in the field of drama and literature,and the "citizen" was replaced by "class".The trinity of "individual-unit-state" makes individuals "united",and their career choices,family life and gender traits are marked by the state and the unit.From the perspective of urban space,the transparency of private space and the blurred boundary of public space reflect the comprehensive control of the state and units.At the same time,due to the realistic concern of playwrights,some texts presented a complex ambiguous state between collectivism and human concern.After its re-publication in 1979,the "people" replaced the class,the unit became welfare-oriented,and the individual's political control was relaxed.With the rise of social strata,the concept of money developed under the cover of the state-first consciousness,which also left room for the reconstruction of citizens' values.From the end of the 1980 s to the 1990 s,citizens' daily lives returned.The function of urban space has changed,and the state and units have withdrawn from the private space of citizens.With the help of public issues and consumer culture,citizens have rebuilt public space.Citizens have reappeared with the brand of class,unit system and the idea of the supremacy of the state.
