China's economic growth has a huge influence in almost every part of the world,including Southeast Asian countries.This has made Chinese one of the most popular and important language in the world.Recently many schools and universities in Thailand have attached this importance in learning Chinese Language.Hence this as resulted in an increase in demand for Chinese teacher volunteers.In this research,special attention is paid in learning and mastering of the language from the perspective of a Thai-Chinese learners and Chinese teachers based on the Chinese volunteer teacher point of view.Further research directions were taken in the study and research of Thai language and Thai language level of chinese volunteer teachers in northern Thailand.These were investigated and studied to understand the influence of the volunteers in Thai language level on their Chinese teaching,outlining the challenges faced in teaching Chinese,and put forward the corresponding teaching suggestions and recommendations as solutions to the problem.Mother tongue is the main bridge in learning a foreign language.If one wish to learn a foreign language,they should master the mother tongue before taking a step to learn a foreign language.Thus said,it can be concluded that in teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,teachers should also make full use of the students' mother tongue,instead of excluding the mother tongue from the student's leaning objectives.If this neglected,it turns to prove that it is a huge waste of time and resources in trying to make students master the language.On the other hand,the mother tongue(local language)is very important and makes the work of the volunteers much more easy.It also increases their work efficiency and help them achieve their teaching goals within the stipulated time frame.In this research,the usage of mother tongue as the theoretical basis in the second language teaching theory,and understands the knowledge of the Thai language of Chinese volunteer teachers that carry out the teaching practice.It is proved that the Chinese teaching of teachers with a good Thai language level is better,and by using Thai and Chinese to teach Chinese,most students are very satisfied with the volunteer teachers,and I realize that the student's Chinese language level has greatly improved and they were more interested in learning Chinese.The result of this research shows that there is a correlation between the mastery of the mother tongue of scholars and the teaching effect of Chinese.However,there were also many problems and shortcomings,I here put forward feasible proposals.
