Travels are the works of people who travel and see.The recorded content involves many aspects such as social life,economic conditions,folk culture and so on.Taking travel notes as the research object of historical materials can provide historical researchers with historical data corroborating with the official history."Northwest Travel Notes "(Second Series)is a compilation of 10 books and 12 volumes edited by Hu Dajun and published by Gansu People's Publishing House.On the one hand,the series not only follows the form of the previous Journey to the West,but also injects realistic details into the content.On the other hand,the series covers the vast area of Northwest China and is rich in resources,but transportation,industry and other conditions are relatively backward and urgently need to be developed.It also focuses on the historical geography,customs and social conditions of Northwest China in the first half of the 20 th century.Anecdotes and many other aspects.Excavating and collating historical materials related to West Mongolia,in-depth analysis of Mongolian public land,society,religion,folk customs,and economy in the northwest region to promote the study of the history of West Mongolia during the Republic of China period.The series of books described and interpreted Mongolian society in the northwest region in the form of travel notes,which enriched the study of historical materials in West Mongolia and deepened the overall understanding of West Mongolian society during the Republic of China.There are very few records of the Western Mongolian Totes in the first half of the twentieth century,and the historical travel documents of this period make up for the deficiencies of the historical materials of the West Mongolia to a certain extent.Reference value has played an important role in promoting the research of West Mongolia.
