The Influence Of Material And Concept Innovation On Chinese Modern Lacquer Painting

Laqucer painting has developed rapidly since it was on showed as an independent painting type in the 6th national art exhibition in 1984,Chinese modern lacquer painting,a novel comprehensive material painting which based on lacquer in the contemporary painting world,has gradually entered the public vision through the unremitting efforts of generations of lacquer painters,stemming from the rapid development of modern art.In the narrow sense,lacquer painting refers to the painting with natural lacquer as the main material.While in a broad sense,it refers to all the paintings using lacquer materials.In the rapid development of Chinese modern lacquer painting,there are some problems worthy of consideration.Materials and concepts are two crucial factors to promote the development of lacquer painting,and their innovation will certainly have a significant impact on it.Material is the carrier of the language of painting,and the concept is the soul of painting.Lacquer material is the most basic material condition for lacquer painting creation.The innovation and development of lacquer painting material plays an indispensable and important role in Chinese modern lacquer painting.To maintain the value of the art and make it eternal,thinking and updating the concept of painting in accordance with the philosophy of art mattered.This thesis analyzes the impacts of the innovation of materials and concepts on Chinese modern lacquer painting.Firstly,it reviews the historical origin of ancient Chinese lacquer art with the emergence and development of Chinese modern lacquer painting.Secondly,it sorts out both traditional and modern materials along with the development of concepts in Chinese modern lacquer painting history.As a response to that it proposes measures for innovation in Chinese modern lacquer painting.Finally,this thesis analyzes the role of concept innovation in modern lacquer painting,the relationship between material innovation and concept innovation,and elaborates the significance of concept innovation and material innovation development for contemporary lacquer painting.
