The Relationship Between Family Rearing Styles And Depression In Junior Middle School Students:the Mediating Role Of Emotion Regulation Strategies And Forgiveness

Nowadays,the aging of depression tends to become more and more prominent in our country.The degree of depression of junior high school students has become a common concern in the field of psychology and education.More and more junior high school students have even caused suicide due to the high level of depression.Junior high school is one of the important turning points in life.The speed of psychological maturity of junior high school students generally can't keep up with the speed of physical maturity.Therefore,a series of psychological problems have also appeared.Among them,a high depression tendency is the most common psychological problem.This thesis uses a questionnaire survey to study the relationship between family parenting styles,emotional regulation strategies,forgiveness,and depression,followed by qualitative research to verify this relationship,and finally found a method to reduce depression in junior high school students and put forward practical Suggest.This article has two research contents: the first one is the 560 junior high school students in a middle school in Baoding,Hebei Province through the "Family Rearing Patterns","Emotional Regulation Strategy Scale","Forgiveness Scale" and "Depression Scale".Conduct a questionnaire survey;the second study was: randomly selected 10 students with depression scores below 10 for semi-structured interviews,the results are as follows:1.There are significant differences in demographic variables of father rejection,mother rejection,father emotional warmth,mother emotional warmth,mother overprotection,expression inhibition,forgiveness,and total parenting scores,total emotional adjustment strategy scores,and total depression scores.2.Father's rejection and mother's rejection were positively correlated with depression score.Father's emotional warmth and mother's emotional warmth were negatively correlated with depression scores.Cognitive reassessment and forgiveness dimensions were negatively correlated with depression scores.3.Emotional regulation strategy and forgiveness mediate between parenting styles and depression.The specific manifestations are: cognitive reappraisal and forgiveness play a part of the mediating role between father's emotional warmth and depression.Cognitive reappraisal and forgiveness play a part in mediating the emotional warmth and depression of the mother.
