In recent years,the relationship between emotional regulation and cognitive activity has become a hot issue among scholars,but there is still controversy about the influence of emotion regulation on cognitive activities.Researchers have done a lot of research on the influence of emotion regulation strategy on memory,and have got rich results.According to the types of memory materials,they can be divided into:emotional memory and neutral memory.Emotional material refers to the memory material with emotional color,neutral material refers to the memory material without any emotional color.In previous studies,it mostly involved the influence of emotion regulation strategy on the memory of emotional materials while it was seldom involved in neutral materials.Meanwhile,previous studies mostly focus on the influence of emotion regulation strategies on memory under the negative emotion,but not involved in the influence of emotion regulation on cognitive activities under different valence and arousal and ignore the role of arousal in the process of emotion.Therefore,this paper is to investigate the influence of different emotional regulation strategies on neutral materials under positive and negative emotional state with different arousal which can improve the research on the relationship between emotional regulation and cognitive I in a certain extent.At the same time,it can provide guidance for students the memory effect under the emotional conditions in the teaching.In this study,laboratory experiments were used to design a subject experiment using 2(positive,negative)× 2(high arousal,low arousal)× 3(cognitive reappraisal,expression suppression,control)180 junior high school students were recruited and randomly assigned to the cognitive reappraisal group,the expression suppression group and the control group.conclusion:(1)The positive emotional state memory effect is better than the negative emotional state,and the arousal degree does not affect the memory effect.(2)The regulation strategy has a significant effect on memory effect,the score of the cognitive reappraisal group is significantly better than that of the expression suppression group and control group.(3)Under high arousal,cognitive reappraisal and expression suppression are effective regulation strategies.Under negative high arousal,cognitive reappraisal regulation strategy is more effective.Under low arousal,there is no difference between regulation strategies but memory effect of cognitive reappraisal strategy is better.
