A Study On Jilin Province Industrial Movement Of Increasing Production And Saving Earlier In The Foundation Of The People's Republic Of China(1949-1952)

Earlier in the foundation of the People's Republic of China,Jilin Province has a severe economic situation.To change the situation,strongly resist USA aggression and aid North Korea,recover and develop the economy as soon as possible,stabilize the prices,guarantee people's basic living standards,actively respond to the call of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China(CCCPC),Jilin Provincial Committee began to carry out the movements of increasing and saving production in an or3 ganized,large-scale and all-round wayDuring the movements,Jilin Provincial Committee,General Trade Union of Jilin Province,Jilin Branch of Anti US and Aid North Korea and other institutions,through propaganda and mobilization,nationalized the economic movements.First,relevant organizations have been set up in the whole province to effectively lead the movements.Then,publicity methods such as newspapers,plays,commendation conferences have been widely used to expand the influence of the movements,gather the masses' strength,make the masses fully realize the positive significance and improve their political awareness and patriotic enthusiasm.Jilin Provincial Committee actively takes various measures.Industrial production mainly focuses on "increasing production",supplemented by "saving",organizes and mobilizes employees to make plans,improve technical plans,establish a regular reporting and active inspection system,and timely rectifies and improves working methods to improve the productive efficiency,reduce the raw material cost and mobilize the masses to technical innovations,so as to achieve increasing production and saving.In government departments,saving is the main measure.Although they can not directly increase output value,they improve the production efficiency,practice the strict economy and fight against corruption and waste to reduce state expenditure and achieve increasing production and saving through efforts.As the rear area is supporting the front line,Jilin Province deeply influenced by the policies of CCCPC.The movements are carried out thoroughly and the masses are highly motivated to participate.It is of great significance for the movements in the whole province to restore the economy,support the front line,promote the construction of the contingent of cadres and improve people's living standards.However,due to the complex social situation in the early days of the foundation of China,there existed some unstable factors,like inadequate safetyproduction movements,corruption and bribery of few Party members and cadres.But generally speaking,early in the foundation of China,the movements of increasing production and saving effectively promotes the recovery and development of Jilin Provincial economy and stabilizes the new people's regime.
