During the Second World War,hating British sentiment was particularly strong in Myanmar, and the anti-British struggle began.Under the leadership of the “Thirty Heroes” represented by Aung San,he proposed that “the difficulties of the British are our chance”,“as long as we can overthrow Britain,we can join forces with the devil”,they chose to work with the Japanese to overthrow British rule, join the so-called “Greater East Asian Co-prosperity Circle”,the establishment of Japan's false independence. The hating British and pro-Japanese attitude shown by the Burmese people in this historical event is worth exploring, but the academic community has studied the issue less.Studying the hating British and pro-Japanese mentality of the Burmese people during the Second World War is conducive to a more intuitive and profound understanding of Myanmar's national character and mentality, and to increasing the understanding of the psychological causes of populism and fascism. The article is divided into four chapters, the first and second chapters respectively discuss the formation and evolution of the attitude of the People's Hatred of the United Kingdom of Myanmar, the emergence and development of the pro-Japanese mentality of the Burmese. In the third chapter, the author uses the theory such as history of mentality and psychohistory, and further analyzes it through psychoanalysis, group psychology, national psychology, cultural psychology and so on.The author believes that from the perspective of psychoanalysis, the People of Myanmar have a psychological transformation process from “solidization” to “identity” to “frustration” to “repressed” and finally “attack”,while has always had “projection” and “self-residence” to Japan. From the point of view of collective or group psychology, because of its ethnic elite-led anti-Japanese public opinion, the “Burma people” this group under the leadership of “leaders” lost rational judgment, while “group thinking” made the national elite led by Aung San misjudged the situation to pro-Japanese.From the point of view of national psychology, the national psychological characteristics of the “altruism” and “merit standard” of the Burmese nation are the important reasons for its tolerance of aggression. From the point of view of cultural psychology, the “strong exclusivity of ownership” in its cultural model becomes an important cultural psychological factor produced by its strong “territory” consciousness. Finally, chapter Four analyzes the influence of the hating British and pro-Japanese attitude of the Burmese people, and thinks that it accelerated the defeat of Britain in Burma and even the Pacific in the early period of World War II,and in the post-World War II period it hindered the entry of Chinese expeditionary forces into Burma, and even after World War II,it still had an impact on Burma's independence and acceptance of Japanese compensation.
