In recent years,with the vigorous development of the cultural industry,YanGeling is one of the overseas Chinese female writers who have the most electric shock.Six works have been put on the screen.After comparing the novel with the movie,it is found that the female consciousness and the subject content of the novel have changed.She has written many vivid female images on the theme of the life course of femalecharacters in the background of the big era.In the process of adaptation,the subversive female writing in her works has been replaced by the authoritative discourse of the male director;her perspective on women's lives from a female perspective has been replaced by male gaze.This article takes male director Yan Geling's film works as the research object.Through the comparison between the text of the novel and the film before and after,the author attempts to explain the gender difference in the transcoding process of the film from the aspects of the video language,narrative method,and character of the two.Subtle changes in the film,and from the perspective of the director,explore the social and cultural reasons behind the film.Based on feminist film theory,this article studies and discusses male director Yan Geling's film works "Jinling Thirteen","Fanghua",and "Return",which is divided into five chapters.The introduction of the first chapter mainly describes the significance and background of the research of this article,clarifies the research scope and methods of the research object,lists the domestic research summary of feminism in Yan Geling's works,and sorts out the development of western feminist film theory.And summarize the film theory in different periods.The second chapter begins with a conceptual review of western feminist theory and feminist film theory,and a detailed interpretation of the film theory by feminist film theorist Laura Murvey.Secondly,she combed the author Yan Geling's life experience and film and television creation process,and finally explored the female consciousness writing in her works,trying to interpret the subtle relationship between Yan Geling's rich life experience and her works.The third chapter takes Yan Geling's film work directed by male director as the research object,based on the feminist film theory from the female situation and the female destiny expressed inthe film screen,and the female world conveyed by the film voice.The color images,light and shade,lens use,and film sounds of Yan Geling's film works directed by male directors are studied respectively,in an attempt to interpret the hustle and bustle of the female world under the unique video language of male perspectives in film works.The fourth chapter analyzes the narrative differences between the two art forms in the transcoding process of Yan Geling's film works from novel to film,and studies the male director's Yan Geling films from the perspective of gender narrative transformation and narrative subtraction of replacement theme.works.It also interprets how the body narrative,male gaze,heroism and love narrative appear in the film.The fifth chapter studies the differences between the male and female images in the novel and the movie.From the perspective of gender,it discusses the reconstruction characteristics of the film's character in the adaptation of the male director from the perspective of gender,and explores the social and cultural causes behind this adaptation motivation.The conclusion part summarizes and analyzes the film works of male director Yan Geling,and concludes that the two art forms have unique charm between the transformation of gender perspectives,and extends the development status of feminist theory in the current consumer era,providing a reference for feminist film research value.
