Artistic Study Of The "17 Years" Sports Feature Films

The “17 years” from October 1949 to the first half of 1966,as the second climax of the development of Chinese sports feature films,can be said to be a brilliant stage of sports story film production.Although the number of ten films is not large,it was extraordinary at that time,which created a precedent for Chinese sports films.At present,the research on “17 years”sports feature films has not been carried out thoroughly.This thesis takes the “17 years”sports feature films as the research object,focusing on the analysis of the narrative mode of the story film,the characterization and the artistic characteristics of aesthetic value.This thesis is divided into four chapters.The first chapter analyzes the current situation of sports film research and puts forward some problems.The second chapter discusses the narrative mode of “17 years” sports feature films,mainly analyzes the sequential narrative,zero focus narrative and suture structure narrative.These three narrative modes are often used in the “17 years” sports feature films to form a relatively complete structural framework.Within this framework,the plot,characters and themes are arranged to provide the audience with a development trend that conforms to the“aesthetic expectation vision” to meet the audience's requirements for the form and style of the film.The third chapter discusses the type characteristics of the character image of “17 years”sports feature films,mainly analyzes the image of athletes,coaches and women.In the “17years” sports feature films,athletes and coaches often appear in the image of “workers,peasants and soldiers”,conveying the lofty ideals of collectivism and patriotism to the audience.Women's image is not only to show the beauty of sports,but also to break the traditional social cognition of women's body,to express the meaning of national strength,social progress,sports power,and to realize a symbolic metaphor.The fourth chapter explains the aesthetic value of “17 years” sports feature films,mainly analyzes the theme expression,audience perception and aesthetic style.By setting the narrative theme of growth motif and grand theme,using close-up,close-up,mid-range lens and a large number of crosscutting lens,the “17 years” sports feature films constructs the aesthetic style of social beauty and sublime beauty,so that the audience can identify with thescreen situation and the sublime ideal of the characters.Under the historical context of a specific period of time,“17 years” sports feature films provides reference for constructing and presenting the realistic or ideal sports and nation,sports and country,sports and collective,sports and individual,sports and social psychology,sports and body,especially for revealing the significance of sports education,which is worth summarizing.In this thesis,from the perspective of the artistry of sports story films,the analysis and discussion are also aimed at promoting the research of sports literature and sports culture,so as to attract the attention of sports aesthetic education,so that sports aesthetic education can play its full role in the process of cultivating talents with all-round development of morality,intelligence,sports,beauty and labor.
