A Comparative Study Of Chinese And English Figurative Figures Of Speech

Figurative figures of speech are frequently used in our daily life.They are common figures of speech in every language.Due to the influence of culture,natural environment,cognitive psychology and other factors between China and western countries,Chinese figurative figures of speech and English figurative figures of speech differ in terms of function and other aspects,which will bring a lot of difficulties to Chinese and English learners.This paper corpus from "life metaphor language dictionary","metaphor" and "modern Chinese dictionary"(sixth edition),etc.,through contrastive linguistics and cognitive linguistics to contrast analysis of figures of speech,as well as the similarities and differences of the chinese-english interpretation by literature research,material example,contrast analysis,find out the figures of speech of the chinese-english in common,and distinguish the figures of speech of the chinese-english differences,make further deepen understanding of figures of speech of the Chinese language,and improve the figures of speech of the English cognitive level,a better understanding of metaphor in Chinese and English figures of speech in the inter-cultural To improve language learners' understanding and cognitive ability of Chinese and English metaphors.The first part expounds the research background,research significance,corpus source and research method of this paper,and sorts out the relevant research results of predecessors,and describes the main research methods of this paper.The second part briefly explained the definition of Chinese Simile and English Simile figure,then carried out a comparative study of three basic types: Simile and English Simile,Chinese Metaphor and English Metaphor,Chinese bo-metaphor and English Metaphor.The third part makes a comparison between Chinese and English figurative figures of speech from the aspects of words,phrases,single sentences and complex sentences.The fourth part is a comparative study of the figurative meanings of Chinese and English figurative figures.The fifth part analyzes the reasons for the differences between Chinese and English figurative figures in definition,basic types,figurative bodies and figurative meanings.The sixth part of this paper is the conclusion part,which summarizes the main content and research results of this paper,and expounds the shortcomings of this paper on this basis.
