The Study Of The Phenomenon Of Repetition Of Personal Pronouns At The End Of A Sentence

This article takes the personal pronoun end-of-sentence repetition as the research object,and uses systematic functional grammar,cognitive grammar theory,and discourse linguistics theory to conduct a multi-angle analysis of the structural features and discourse functions of personal pronoun end-of-sentence repetition in modern Chinese spoken language.the study.In structural form,the repetitive sentences at the end of personal pronouns have typical forms,extended forms and variant forms.The sentence is mainly composed of the repeated personal pronoun X1,the personal pronoun X2 at the end of the sentence,and the remaining repetitive or added components,and the remaining component A.In the repeated sentences at the end of personal pronouns,the use frequency of personal pronouns is in order from second to first,first to third,and third.The repeated personal pronoun X1 can be located at the beginning of a sentence as the subject,and located in the sentence as the subject,object,attributive,adverbial,or adjunct.The personal pronoun X2 does not act as a syntactic component,does not have a structural relationship with other components in the sentence,does not add the propositional meaning of the sentence,and plays a role equivalent to a mood word.The remaining repetitions or additions after the personal pronoun X2 play an important role in emotional expression.The remaining component A of a sentence can often be formed independently.In terms of discourse function,personal pronoun end-of-sentence repetition can be divided into two categories: reiterating personal pronoun-end-of-sentence repetitive sentence and modality personal pronoun-end-of-sentence repeating sentence.The former mainly states the content of the proposition,and the discourse function is to emphasize reminders.The latter not only conveys the content of the proposition,but also conveys the speaker's attitude towards the proposition and expresses the speaker's emotions.In terms of frequency of use,reiterating repetitive sentences at the end of personal pronouns is far worse than repetitive sentences at the end of modal personal pronouns.Modal personal pronouns at the end of the repeated sentences can be divided into three types of utterance functions: judgment statement,defense explanation,and instruction reminder.Most repetitive sentences at the end of modal personal pronouns appear in situations where the speaker encounters unpleasant things,and I heard that the two parties have conflicts.The speaker expresses his negation and strong dissatisfaction with the listener's words and deeds through negative judgment,refutation of defense,and instruction.We believe that the repetitive sentence at the end of a modal personal pronoun has a negative functional tendency.The form of repetition at the end of a personal pronoun corresponds to the extra emotion the speaker wants to express.The skewness of this type of sentence in the negative use case shows the characteristic of repeated expressions at the end of personal pronouns,which tend to be negative.
