In recent years,after the reconstruction of the earthquake in Nepal,the friendly relations between China and Nepal have gradually heated up.Nepal's enthusiasm for Chinese language education is increasing.Whether it is a Chinese learner or a Chinese teacher,the number of people learning and teaching Chinese is increasing yearly.However,as the national culture of Nepal is influenced by South Asian culture and Western culture,there are still quite a few problems to be solved in Chinese teaching.Chinese learners' Chinese learning,because they live in multiple language environments,has its complexity and uniqueness compared to many countries.The study characteristics of learners at Confucius Institute at Kathmandu University include five aspects: mother tongue background,learning motivation,learning strategy,learning style and emotional factors.This thesis uses a qualitative analysis research method to conduct interviews with Chinese teachers of different ages at the Confucius Institute at Kathmandu University.Practice also provides an example basis for the countermeasures presented later.Based on the study characteristics of Chinese learners at the Confucius Institute at Kathmandu University,this article describes the coping strategies of learners from the Kathmandu Confucius Institute in the learning process according to the main part of the study characteristics of Chinese learners.Handle the negative transfer of learners' mother tongue background and multi-language background;choose appropriate learning strategies based on learning motivation and learning style;to create a good learning environment,emotional factors need to be considered.This study makes a preliminary attempt to analyze the learning characteristics of learners at the Confucius Institute at Kathmandu University,and plays an active role in improving the learning effect of Nepalese Chinese learners and promoting the development of Chinese teaching in Kathmandu,Nepal.
