| China is a good friend and neighbor of Laos.With China’s help and assistance for many years,Laos has achieved rapid economic development in recent years and once became the country with the highest economic growth rate in Southeast Asia.Under the deep influence of China,more and more Lao people choose to learn Chinese.There is also an upsurge of learning Chinese in Laos,and each Chinese learner has his own purpose and motivation to learn Chinese.Learning motivation is a main internal driving force to promote Chinese learners to learn a second language.Continuous motivation and guidance in the learning process is very important for acquiring a second language.Based on the background of Chinese fever,this paper selects Chinese learners from the Confucius Institute of sufanufeng University,Luang Prabang,as the key cultivation University of Chinese in China,as the main object of this investigation and research.Based on the three-level theory of second language learning motivation proposed by Dornyei(1994),this paper refines and classifies the three-level motivation,It is divided into seven types of learning motivation,and then the seven kinds of motivation of Chinese learners in the Confucius Institute of sufanufeng university are investigated and studied by means of questionnaire survey and data analysis,supplemented by literature analysis and field analysis.In addition to the introduction,this paper mainly includes the following parts:Part Ⅰ: introduction.This part is the preparatory part.Firstly,it puts forward the research background,significance and ideas.Then,by using library and network resources to consult a large number of literature and books related to learning motivation,the author provides a large number of references for the research and questionnaire design of learning motivation.The research literature review of learning motivation is divided into the research of Chinese learning motivation and the research of learning motivation outside Chinese,which can have a deeper understanding of learning motivation.Part Ⅱ:summarizes the development of Chinese education in sufanufeng University.Firstly,it summarizes the current situation of Chinese learners in the Confucius Institute of sufanufeng University;Secondly,through the investigation in the school,this paper summarizes the situation of Chinese teachers in the Confucius Institute of sufanufeng University;Finally,it summarizes the development of Chinese teaching in the Confucius Institute of sufanufeng University.Part Ⅲ: research hypothesis and questionnaire design.Through consulting a large number of literature and periodicals,I have a preliminary understanding of the motivation of Chinese learners,and then combined with the author’s own experience in learning Chinese and the understanding of the motivation of Chinese learners in the communication and interview with Chinese learners in the process of Chinese teaching practice at the Confucius Institute of sufanufeng University,This paper puts forward the hypothesis of Chinese learners’ motivation and the differences of different Chinese learners’ motivation to learn Chinese.Finally,combined with the learning motivation of Chinese learners in the Confucius Institute of sufanufeng University,the questionnaire is designed and distributed to Chinese learners,and then the collected questionnaire is sorted and analyzed.Part Ⅳ: analyzes the differences of Chinese learners’ motivation to learn Chinese at the Confucius Institute of sufanufeng University.The questionnaire is scored in the form of Likert scale,and then the average score of each learning motivation and the average value of each type of motivation are calculated through sorting out the data collected from the questionnaire to analyze the data of Chinese learners’ learning motivation,and then the age,gender Ethnic groups and other three factors to make an in-depth analysis of Chinese learners’ motivation to learn Chinese,and draw the corresponding conclusions.Part Ⅴ: through the analysis of the above data,according to the relevant conclusions,combined with the development of Chinese teaching in the Confucius Institute of sufanufeng University and the learning motivation and objectives of Chinese learners,this paper puts forward corresponding suggestions and measures from three aspects: Chinese learners,Chinese teachers and school Chinese teaching,In the case of enhancing the motivation of Chinese learners to learn Chinese,we also hope to provide reference for the development of Chinese teaching in the Confucius Institute of sufanufeng University,and also help to improve the learning efficiency of Chinese learners. |
