Early in the Western Zhou Dynasty,in order to facilitate the control of the East, the king of Wu considered to build a new city in the Luoyang area, named Luoyi(??).Considering King Wu's died and the political situation in early Zhou Dynasty faced the"three supervisors"rebellion, the Duke of Zhou warred to The East.In order to fulfill the will of Wu to build East city, consolidate the regime of the Western Zhou Dynasty, and achieve the goal of"living the middle in the world",Duke of Zhou began to build the city in Luoyi(??)after the counterinsurgency.Ever since the completion of Cheng Zhou,it played the role in defending Zong Zhou(??),town on the east, together with Haojing(??)to become the ruling center of the Western Zhou Dynasty.Chengzhou(??)near the Chan River is early Western Zhou capital, which was built by Duke of Zhou, called Luoyi Chengzhou(????).On both sides of the river, there are large-scale handicraft workshops,Western Zhou Dynasty aristocratic cemeteries, civilian tombs,Yin people's tombs, residence sites, sacrificial relics, rammed earth construction sites and roads of the Western Zhou Dynasty. The discovery of a variety of relics shows that this large site area is the construction site of the Western Zhou Chengzhou(??).These archaeological data has an important role in the research of Chengzhou in the specific location, shape scale, structure layout, the use time and such problems.Among them, the Zhou people's tombs are mainly distributed in the north to the west of Chengzhou, including the aristocratic cemeteries of the Western Zhou Dynasty and the civilian tombs in the southwest of the area, and the distribution of the tombs in the early and the late of the times has not changed greatly. The burial area of Yin remains mainly in the eastern suburb of Luoyang Old City(????),where is form Xiayao(??)Village on the east bank of the Chan River to the Tawan(??)Locomotive Factory.Copper casting workshop distributed in the northwest of Chengzhou on the left band of the river;Sacrifice area for ancestor is only found in Luoyang forestry vocational and technical college, located in the east of Chan river and the Middle East of Chengzhou;Rammed earth construction site in the west zhou dynasty is only found in the east flower bed,the nature is owned by the Yin remnant nobles. The imperial capital of Chengzhou should be distributed across the river,in which the palace building area is located in the west bank of the river where is the Luoyang Old City now, while the sacrificial area is in the east bank of the river. The area of the city is generally north to the southern foot of the mountain Mangshan(??),south to the north bank of the Luo river, east to the area of the Tawan Locomotive Factory. The northwest is located in the east of the river Shijiagou jianshui(?????).The general shape is approximately rectangular. The control of the area is mainly through the establishment of troops. In Zongzhou(??)there is a"West Six Division",Chengzhou also set up a"Cheng Zhou eight Division"as the garrison in Chengzhou and the around area.As the command center of the Chengzhou eight Division,Chengzhou had a division quartered, which is one of the Chengzhou eight divisions called Luoshi(??).Its outstation may be located in the imperial capital in the west bank of the Chan River and near other important facilities. The abandoned time of the city began in the middle of the Western Zhou Dynasty. At this time the sacrificial sites were abandoned, the car and horse pits, which were in the middle of the Western Zhou Dynasty, were not found in this capital, and the copper casting workshops and fish cellar groups were abandoned until the middle of the Western Zhou Dynasty. There were still residents living in this capital in this period and the western zhou dynasty middle-late burials were still found on both sides of the Chan river. In the late western zhou dynasty,Chengzhou completely abandoned, the residents moved to the Diquan(??),where was also the old city of Luoyang in Han and Wei Dynasty.
