The romanticism period is a very important and brilliant period in the history of European music development.There are a large number of great composers and musicians with epoch-making significance.Among them,Schubert,who plays a key role in the transition period between the classicism period and the romanticism period,is worth studying.Schubert is known as the "king of lied".In his short and brilliant professional career,he has written more than 600 songs.He is especially good at creating "lied".The liederkranz "Die schone Mullerin" to be studied in this paper is one of the representative works,and it is a shining pearl in the long river of Schubert and even European lied.Because of the Sturm and Drang in Germany in the late 18th century,a lot of German romanticism literature was produced,which accumulated a lot of materials for the lied in this period,so a lot of lied emerged in this period.Different from the traditional vocal music works,the general genre of lied is short and shrewd,but it has great artistic appeal;the selection of words is exquisite,and the poems of famous poets are generally selected for composing.For example,Wilhelm Muller,Schiller,Goethe and so on.Among the excellent lied in many countries,German lied have unique style,which is worth our careful study."Die schone Mullerin" is the first of three sets of liederkranz written by Schubert in his whole life.It can be said that it has poured all the feelings of the composer.This paper will analyze the songwriter's works,study the creation background of "Die schone Mullerin",understand the poet Wilhelm Muller and his creation style,and analyze the creation of "Die schone Mullerin" with examples in the aspect of singing,harmonic and accompany.We take the famous German singer Fritz Wunderlich's version as an example to analyze,and also compare with other singers' versions,to try to find the connection among the composer,lyric writer and singer and understand the characteristics of the lied of romanticism period so to study this work in depth.
