Pat Metheny's Logic And Improvisation Methods In His Personal Works

The title of this graduation thesis is <Pat Metheny's logic and improvisation methods in his personal works>.This thesis includes an introduction to jazz guitar,the impact to Pat Metheny by the evolution of jazz guitar's music style,and a logical analysis of Pat Metheny's personal works and improvisation.In his personal works,I mainly analyzed his unique harmony movements and the melody creation logic.When I was analyzing his improvisation thoughts,I focused on the technic used by Pat Metheny in constructing jazz improvisation,such as approach notes and double-resolution,and his understanding of harmony and the use of notes.That is,he used the style of bebop with even eighth notes,instead of the swung eighth notes.
