| Whether the evaluation mechanism is perfect or not is related to the improvement of students ’English writing ability.In the promotion and implementation of the new curriculum reform concept,teachers pay more attention to the process of writing,can objectively and comprehensively reflect the problems existing in students’ writing,and need to achieve the organic integration of formative evaluation and summative evaluation.In order to give full play to the functions of evaluation,stimulation,regulation and guidance.On the basis of constructivism,multiple intelligences theory,humanism and cooperative learning theory,this study investigates three questions through questionnaires,classroom observations and interviews:(1)The application of formative assessment in senior high school English writing teaching?(2)In the teaching of writing,how about the implementation of formative assessment in the aspects of evaluation subject,content,method and feedback form?(3)What are the measures to improve formative assessment? The purpose is to find out the shortcomings of the evaluation mechanism in the implementation of writing teaching,so as to put forward the corresponding improvement measures.In this study,450 students from two high schools in Yan Cheng,Jiangsu Province,were investigated by means of quantitative and qualitative methods.Questionnaires were conducted on the understanding,effect,content,methods and feedback of the evaluation mechanism.The current situation of the evaluation mechanism was analyzed from the perspective of students,and teachers were indirectly understood.Implementation of the evaluation mechanism.By selecting 10 teachers and 20 students as interviewees,this paper adopts group interviews toexplore teachers’ and students’ understanding of the evaluation mechanism,so as to make up for the shortcomings in the questionnaire.At the same time,the author chooses 10 writing classes and uses the classroom observation scale to observe the teachers’ practice of implementing the evaluation mechanism from the aspects of subject,object,content,mode and function.This paper explores the shortcomings in the use of the evaluation mechanism of senior high school English writing.In view of the shortcomings in the evaluation mechanism,the author puts forward the following improvement measures:(1)renewing the evaluation concept;(2)broadening the evaluation subjects;(3)clarifying the evaluation contents;(4)formulating evaluation criteria;(5)enriching feedback forms.In order to construct a pertinent,objective and diversified evaluation system for senior high school English writing teaching,so as to give full play to the positive role of evaluation mechanism in writing teaching and promote students’ all-round development. |
