English reading ability is one of the important indicators to measure students' English comprehensive ability and quality.Among the six elements of English curriculum content in senior high school,text is one of them,and reading teaching should focus on discourse.However,in senior high school,teachers' English reading teaching is more about vocabulary and grammar,thus neglecting discourse teaching,which leads to the unsatisfactory effect of reading teaching.Most of the students do not realize the importance of reading learning and the importance of the cultivation of reading ability,which caused when students read a text,they are more likely to find answers according to the reading comprehension questions.As a result,students' understanding of the content of the text is shallow,reading lacks of unity and coherence,and their interest is not stimulated,so their reading ability and logical thinking can not be cultivated and improved.Based on humanism and scaffolding theory,the purpose of this thesis is to apply“Guided-learning plan teaching model” to English reading teaching in senior high school to test whether this teaching model can cultivate students' self-reading ability and improve their reading level as well as help students form correct reading habits.And hope to find the drawbacks of the method through experiments,in order to improve the follow-up.The main research questions of this thesis are as follows: first,what is the influence of guided-learning plan teaching model on students' interest in English reading and learning habits? Second,how can the guided-learning plan teaching model help students improve their English reading performance? Third,what problems should be noticed in the application of guided-learning plan teaching model in reading class?In order to study the actual effect of “Learning plan” in reading class,firstly,the author sends out relevant questionnaires to students during her internship in Xinyang Senior Middle School to record the application and teaching of “Guided-leaning plan”;Secondly,in the process of study,the author mainly uses the experimental method to examine the influence of guided-learning plan teaching model on students' reading learning in senior high school English reading teaching.The experimental subjects arethe experimental class,using the learning plan carefully designed by the author and the teacher for reading learning,and the control class,that is,the ordinary teaching class,which is equivalent to the initial performance of the experimental class,still follows the school's usual reading teaching model;thirdly,we will interview students and teachers in the experimental class to record their evaluation and feedback to guided-learning plan,so as to further explore the problems existing in this teaching model.In the course of the study,the data were collected and analyzed from the results of the questionnaire,test scores on the reading proficiency test,and the records of the interview.The results of the study show that,first,from the perspective of students' long-term development,the “learning plan” can cultivate students' good reading habits,maintain their interest in reading and improve their ability to gradually form self-learning;second,the learning plan has a positive impact on the cultivation of students' reading strategies,and the students will consciously apply the reading strategies about what they trained and guided repeatedly in the learning plan to reading;Third,some deficiencies that need to be improved are also found in the experiment.for example,due to the long time-consuming design of learning plan,teachers are required to concentrate on lesson preparation,discussion and compilation for many times after class,and put a lot of energy into it,which contradicts the current situation that senior high school teachers are short of time and have a large amount of tasks.How to further improve the implementation of the “Guided-learning plan” and give full play to its advantages is the direction that the author will focus on and explore in the next step.
