English reading has always been the most important and difficult part of English teaching in senior high school.It plays an important role in high school students' English learning.With the implementation of the new curriculum standard,many scholars and teachers have been diligently exploring various teaching methods and teaching modes to help students in learning English reading.This study aims to investigate teachers and students' attitudes towards the Learning-Plan-Guided Teaching Model in English reading and the application of this teaching model.This study has chosen 130 students and 23 teachers from Yan'an Middle School in Yan'an,Shaanxi Province for empirical research.Using questionnaires to investigate the application of the LPGTM in English reading teaching in Senior High School,the study focuses on the following three aspects: 1)The attitude of students with different study levels towards the Learning-Plan-Guided Teaching Model in English Reading.2)The application and effect of Learning-Plan-Guided Teaching Model in English reading for students of different learning levels.3)Teachers' attitudes towards the LPGTM in English Reading and the application of this teaching model.Based on the empirical research,chooses 9 students and 6 teachers have been interviewed as the research subjects and have been conducted further analysis.The results have shown that of the perspective of students' attitude,top students,medium students and the students who have difficulties in studying have positive attitudes towards the LPGTM in English reading teaching.Among them,the medium students prefer using the current the LPGTM.From the perspective of using the LPGTM in English Reading,all students have found it helpful in their study before and during the class,especially for medium students in pre-class preparation.Top students have found the LPGTM quite useful in class-learning time.However,all three levels students have found less effective in the revision and consolidation of the LPGTM.On the effectiveness of using the LPGTM in English reading teaching,medium students have the most effectiveness,especially in their self-learning ability.From the perspective of teachers' attitude,positive attitudes towards the LPGTM in English reading teaching have appeared.They believe that the LPGTM is able to cultivate students' self-learning ability.At the same time,the LPGTM strengthens the communication and cooperation among peer teachers.Most of the teachers have welcomed in the LPGTM.They have applied it not only in supervising the students to complete the Learning-Plan-Guided in time,but also for the reflection on the problems in the LPGTM.
