The Presentation And Expression Of Realistic Youth Films Since The New Century

Since the beginning of the new century,great changes have taken place in the audience of Chinese film market,with the majority of young people gradually becoming the backbone,which makes the demand for youth films constantly increase,thus bringing about the boom period of youth film creation.After experiencing a period of high productivity and prosperity,domestic youth films have formed a relatively stable genre narrative mode,meanwhile,they are faced with the dilemma of audience’s aesthetic weakness and declining public praise.Youth films with realistic themes,such as the late 2017 Thai film "the talented gunman" has aroused huge response in the market.Youth films that avoid the traditional mode have injected fresh blood into the whole genre of youth films.This paper intends to start from the context of youth films,the real theme of youth films to define.Taking several films as the research object,this paper summarizes three narrative themes: social reality,patriarchal power in the family and individual confusion.In terms of audiovisual,the presentation of a number of films: based on the premise of reality,the film adds artistic expression of personality in terms of color,sound,etc.;Ideologically,many films implicitly use objects,animals and mirror elements to convey emotions and themes.This paper analyzes the realistic youth films from the aspects of audio-visual language and narrative text,summarizes their creation rules,practices the research results of audio-visual language in the graduation short film "waiting",and explains the creation process of "waiting".
