The usage of "de" in Hengyang dialect is relatively complex and very distinctive. It can function as verbs, auxiliary verbs, auxiliary verbs, prepositions, status / degree complement markers, passive markers, etc. The various semantic and grammatical functions they contain are not accidental homophones and homomorphisms, but "the motivated polysemy",which presents a certain multi-functional model and is a product of diachronism.Previous scholars have investigated the semantics and syntax of "de" in modern Chinese and ancient Chinese, and have made a more detailed analysis of the versatility of "de" in Mandarin.Hengyang dialect,as a dialect that blends old and new Xiang dialects, has the common function of "de" with Mandarin, but it is also related to Putonghua due to factors such as the legacy of ancient Chinese usage and the influence of other foreign regional languages / dialects. There is a big difference in "de" compare to.Mandarin.In view of this,we use the semantic graph model as a tool, taking Putonghua and related dialects as reference(but not as absolute standards),starting from the semantic expression of "de" in Hengyang dialect, guided by the basic theory of cognitive semantics,A typological research idea combining synchronic types, cognitive motivations, and related historical traceability,to systematically study the "de" of Hengyang dialect, aiming to find some recognition Knowledge motivation and discourse mechanism provide certain factual basis for dialect typology. This paper consists of five chapters. The first chapter is an introduction, explaining the reasons and significance of the topic selection, defining the research object and research focus of this article, introducing and explaining the relevant linguistic theories used in the article, and finally introducing the research methods and corpus sources. The second chapter sorts out the grammatical functions and main syntactic expressions of Hengyang dialect "de".The investigation found that the usage of "de" in Hengyang dialect is more abundant than that of Mandarin. In addition to being the same as "de" in Putonghua,it can be used as a verb, auxiliary verb, and auxiliary verb,as well as prepositions and usage as various types of marks. Therefore, its grammatical functions and its syntactic expressions are also more complicated, presenting a series of functions and syntactic forms that Mandarin does not possess. For example, the verb "de" can also be followed by double objects;the auxiliary verb "de" can be either before or after the verb;the position of various types of complement markers in the sentence is also quite different from Mandarin. The sorting out of the grammatical forms of "de" in Hengyang dialect helps us establish or exclude some semantic connections. The third chapter systematically sorts out the grammatical meaning of "de" in Hengyang dialect.Similar to the Mandarin "de",the Hengyang dialect "de" also has various meanings of the verb "to get",the auxiliary verb "may" and the connection table status / degree / possible complement. But it also has semantic expressions not found in Mandarin. For example, the verb "de" can also express the meaning of "giving",the completion of the verb complement, the preposition and the subsequent object to introduce the location, tools and action-related objects, and express passive meaning. At the synchronic level, the syntactic and semantic functions of "de" in Hengyang dialect have been differentiated, and there is a continuum from real to virtual.Chapter four summarizes the versatility of Hengyang dialect "de" on the basis of the previous two chapters, and on the basis of discussing the semantic connection, combined with the grammaticalization process of "de" in Putonghua, regularizes the "de" of Hengyang dialect Semantic association mode, and tried to construct and draw the semantic graph model of Hengyang dialect "de" and the approximate semantic blurring chain. The fifth chapter is the conclusion, combing and summarizing the investigation results of Hengyang dialect "de",and pointing out the problems and shortcomings of this article.
