Film audience is the mass group that watches and consumes films.As a group,the audience is not only the consumers and appreciator of films,but also participates in the creation and development direction of films through an "invisible" identity,which exerts a subtle influence on the development of films.Film is a foreign product introduced into China in the late 19 th century and the early 20 th century.As film consumers,the public's movie-watching habits are also gradually cultivated and formed by watching foreign films.Foreign films with the flourishing development in China,more and more people also to the way of filming,can say,early movie audience's aesthetic changes with the development of China's film is influence each other and promote each other,the film technology and content of progress prompted the audience aesthetic changes,the audience aesthetic improvement and put forward higher request to the development of the film.In order to attract more audiences,the film screening places are becoming more and more modern,and the appearance of modern professional cinemas restricts the audience's movie-watching behavior.Under the mutual influence and mutual promotion between film and audience,Chinese film has changed from silent film to sound film in technology.The content changes from spectacle film to narrative film;Viewing place from public places to professional cinemas.With the development of the film,audiences in the early stage made constant adjustments and changes in aesthetic level,behavior and etiquette.Meanwhile,the number of audiences also kept developing in the process of film development.It can be said that the history of early films is not only the development history of Chinese films,but also the growth history of Chinese film audiences.In the long historical river,early audiences experienced a change in attitude from passively accepting films to actively entering the cinema.The class composition is mainly from the upper class to the middle and lower class.In terms of the number,the number of moviegoers in different periods has shown different changes and characteristics.Generally speaking,the characteristics of moviegoers under the influence of traditional opera have changed to the modern new moviegoers.This paper is divided into four chapters,trying to discuss the interaction and influence between moviegoers and film development by combining the changes of film creation,film projection and film acceptance,and showing the characteristics of audiences in different periods,so as to draw the growth history of moviegoers in the crisscross film history.The first chapter discusses the change of the audience's attitude towards the acceptance of early films,from passive to active;The second chapter discusses theaesthetic psychology and type characteristics of the film audience of the citizen class under the wave of the film business in China in the 1920 s.The third chapter mainly discusses the influence of film technology and creation changes on intellectuals and mass audiences of film fans in the special historical background in the 1930 s,as well as the modernity characteristics of film audiences in this period.The fourth chapter is the concluding chapter,which mainly discusses the mutual influence and mutual promotion between film audience and film creation,and explores the influence of audience on film creation.
