Since the reform and opening up,China's economy has been developing, and people's income level and quality of life have been greatly improved.People's consumption concept has changed from meeting the basic material life to pursuing spiritual and cultural life. With the continuous improvement of cultural consumption environment and the continuous expansion of cultural industry, cultural consumption has become a new hot spot of consumption and a symbol under the new normal of China's economy. The improvement of cultural consumption level and the upgrading of cultural consumption structure play an important role in the adjustment of national economic structure and the transformation of economic development mode.Stimulating domestic consumption and promoting steady economic growth are reshaping the new pattern of economic development in a new way. However,China's cultural consumption is still at a low level of development at this stage.Compared with developed countries, there is still a large gap,and the imbalance of regional development is still significant. Therefore, based on the relevant theories of cultural consumption, based on the existing data of cultural consumption of residents in 30 provinces(except Tibet)from 2008 to 2017,this paper focuses on the regional differences and influencing factors of cultural consumption level of Chinese residents on the basis of existing research results. In order to reveal the regional differences of cultural consumption level in the eight major economic regions of China, this paper uses the Theil index method to measure the regional total differences of cultural consumption of Chinese residents under the eight regional divisions, and compares the inter provincial differences and their changing trends within the eight major regions, and analyzes the contribution of the regional differences and the regional differences to the total differences. This paper compares the Taier index with the weight of GDP and population, and studies the influence of population factors and economic level on regional differences of cultural consumption. The spatial correlation test method is used to measure the spatial spillover effect characteristics and agglomeration mode of Chinese urban and rural residents' cultural consumption.Based on the spatial correlation of Chinese residents' cultural consumption, the spatial econometric model is used to establish the static panel and spatial panel model, explore the factors affecting cultural consumption and propose relevant countermeasures,so as to provide decision-making for relevant enterprises and government departments reference resources. This paper finds that the differences of cultural consumption in the eight economic regions have a greater impact on the cultural consumption in terms of the population. From the perspective of the differences and their sources, the overall differences of cultural consumption in the eight economic regions show a gradual upward trend during the inspection period, and the regional differences are decomposed to get the regional differences and the regional differences, among which the regional differences are Differences are the main sources of cultural consumption differences in the eight economic regions. And the national residents' cultural consumption has the characteristics of spatial spillover effect and shows a positive spatial correlation, but the spatial correlation of residents' cultural consumption in some provinces is not strong;the results of spatial econometric model show that several influencing factors, such as per capita disposable income, urbanization level, residents' education level, the proportion of cultural, educational and entertainment industry employees, have improved the cultural consumption in this region Among them, the level of urbanization has the greatest impact on cultural consumption, and the per capita investment in cultural undertakings has no significant impact on the level of cultural consumption. Finally, according to the empirical research results of this paper, some policy suggestions are put forward, such as improving the construction of cultural facilities, vigorously promoting the new urbanization, strengthening the investment in education and so on.
