A healthy and reasonable cultural consumption system is of vital important for the building of moderately prosperous society. Researching the consumption status in culture entertainment, the differences of its performance between regions, the influencing factors and then establishing a working mechanism which could promote the development of cultural consumption has a profound sense. The research objects of this paper are cultural consumption activities except education. In this paper, the cluster analysis, the regional difference analysis and the combining of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis of panel data model are used to summarize China’s cultural consumption in different provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities. The study shows that China’s cultural consumption is growing for the better, a variety of cultural-entertaining establishments are increasing gradually and the related emerging industries and enterprises are also developing rapidly. However, there still exist many problems: the cultural consumption potential has not been fully excavated,the regional difference in cultural consumption is too large,the development of cultural industry is not mature enough, etc.Through the analysis in this article, for eastern region, key points of the promotion of cultural consumption are optimizing the consumption environment and changing the consumer perception. For central region, level of the disposable income of residents is the most important factor that affecting the cultural consumption, while, the level of price and urbanization has great impact as well. Influence factors in western region are more balanced. The level of urbanization, disposable income of residents and price are all have great influence. Only the early consumption habits of consumers have less impact on the current cultural consumption.
