Exploration On Diversified Development Of Contemporary Chengdu Lacquer Art Form Language

Chengdu lacquer art originated in Shang and Zhou dynasties.the carved wooden lacquer bowl fragments unearthed in Sanxingdui,Sichuan province are the earliest lacquer ware found in Sichuan region,with a history of more than 3000 years.Contemporary Chengdu lacquer painting is a new kind of painting that continues the traditional lacquer art.It has made great achievements after decades of development from the single pattern decoration of traditional vessels to the emergence of independent painting types.However,there is a certain gap with the contemporary lacquer art in Beijing,Fuzhou,Yangzhou and Pingyao.Now,the contemporary Chengdu lacquer art has a brand-new development opportunity.Up to now,there are still many problems in Chengdu lacquer art.Starting from the study of the formal language of contemporary Chengdu lacquer art,this paper discusses the practical significance of Chengdu lacquer art in the innovation of formal language,how to better transform from practicality to aesthetics,and how to better transform from decoration,craftsmanship to pure art direction.How to get breakthroughs in materials,techniques,forms,colors,etc.This is of positive significance to the future development of the formal language of contemporary Chengdu lacquer art.
