Beginner Level Japanese Students Online Language Learning Anxiety

This research conducted a survey of Chinese learning anxiety for 33 Japanese learners of Beijing Foreign Studies University who are at the beginner level of Chinese online courses.The conclusions of this study are Japanese students can be summarized as follows:First,the study found that Japanese learners at the elementary level of online classes are generally at a high level of Chinese learning anxiety;Second,from the perspective of 7 dimensions,teacher and student communication anxiety is the highest while the test anxiety is the lowest.Third,the anxiety level of the students were analyzed through various factors and the most significance factors are family situation,length of study,self-level,whether to go to China,HSK level,HSK target and learning foreign language experienxe.On the contrary,gender,age,whether to go abroad,and personality did not have a significant impact on Japanese learners' Chinese learning anxiety.Finally,according to the survey results,suggestions to the teachers and students from three stages:before class,during class,and after class were made.It is recommended that teachers understand the learning contents that learners expect to learn in advance,reinforced a better classroom management,enrich classroom group activities,change corrective methods and enhance after class communication.It is recommended that learners preview the contents beforehand,strengthen their self-control ability,more interaction with teachers and classmates,find the opportunities to meet Chinese people,set learning goals,and improve learning motivation.In addition,it is recommended to solve the signal and network instability problems and create a quiet learning environment.
