In 2019,due to the impact of the COVID-19 virus,Romania closed its schools since March and students began to learn online.The Chinese language teaching career has been greatly affected as a result.The huge changes in teaching methods have brought about the loss of students and cultural activities.Difficult to organize and other issues.It seems that online teaching may become a normalized teaching method in the next year or six months.From September 2019 to July 2020,the author,as a volunteer Chinese teacher,taught Chinese and Chinese culture at the Confucius Institute at Babis-Bolyai University in Cluj,Romania(hereinafter referred to as "Confucius Institute in Cluj")Communication work.During this period,the author conducted online Chinese teaching for at least three months,and found many problems in the teaching process.How to get out of the teaching dilemma,solve the problem of the loss of students,and improve Chinese teaching according to the needs of students has become a challenge that the Confucius Institute has to face.Therefore,this article is student-centered,from the perspective of students,based on the actual teaching experience in the design of the questionnaire for the target needs and learning needs of Romanian students,and participated in the Confucius Institute headquarters in Cluj where the author is located and five teaching sites Online learning students are the subjects of the survey,investigating the reasons and goals of students participating in online learning during the epidemic,their needs for teachers,teaching materials,learning environment,curriculum settings,etc.,and what they encounter during the learning process.problem.At the same time,investigate the problems encountered by teachers of the Confucius Institute in Cluj during online teaching.Finally,analyze and try to give suggestions to help Chinese teachers prescribe the right medicine,understand the students' learning goals,and arrange courses according to the needs of students,so as to provide reference for the future online Chinese teaching of the Confucius Institute.There are five chapters in this article.The first chapter is the introduction,introducing the research background,research purpose and significance,research content,research methods and literature review of this article.The literature review part summarizes three aspects:online Chinese teaching research,Chinese learner needs analysis research and Romanian Chinese teaching research.The second chapter is an overview of the basic situation of the Confucius Institute in Cluj,including four parts:teachers,curriculum,teaching materials and teaching methods.The third chapter is the design of the questionnaire,including the survey object,the purpose of the survey and how to design the questionnaire.The fourth chapter is the analysis of online learning needs of Chinese learners at the Confucius Institute in Cluj,which is the key part of the full text.First introduce the situation of students and online courses,and then analyze the students' target needs and learning needs.Learning needs will be analyzed from four aspects:teachers,curriculum settings,classroom teaching and cultural activities.The last chapter is conclusions,suggestions and deficiencies.
