In the 20 th century,Britain's democratization has achieved further maturity. In the situation of internal and external problems, the country has still achieved certain political achievements.Democratic politics has further developed. This article believes that the king played a key role in the political development of Britain in the 20 th century. The king's political attitude and behavior promoted the further development of British democracy in the crisis period.By analyzing the historical background and political reform analysis of the British from the early 20 th century to the 1940 s,we found that the political reforms in the period of George V of the United Kingdom did not take place "without clues",but there are a certain factors triggering the reform, such as the workers' movement, the First World War,and the women's rights movement. In the reform process,in addition to the role of political parties, the king also played an positive role.Through the analysis of British political reform and development,we found that in the early stage of political development in the early 20 th century, the British King "stood his duty",was in a state of virtual monarch, and coordinated the country's political contradictions. Therefore, this article believes that the king's behavior has played a very important role in the realization of the political reform and democratic development, making British democracy more mature. In order to test this assertion, this article examines the political behavior of the kings of Spain and Thailand during the period of political development, and also finds a close relationship between the king and political development and reform. Finally, through the comparison of positive and negative cases, this paper finds that in a constitutional monarchy country that has achieved democratic transformation,if the king can return to politics to the public after finishing his historical mission,do not interfere, interfere with politics, and give full play to political consultation and guard,The role of guarding the fruits of democracy,it will greatly promote the political development of the country. If the king intervenes in politics and even destroys the established democratic system,it will slow down the country's political development and even plunge the country into turbulence.Except of the special historical periods, the more the king intervenes in politics, the slower the political development of the country. Therefore,in a constitutional monarchy,if democratic politics is to be further developed, the king should really fade out of the political arena. In addition, this article also gives us some enlightenment to developing countries.Compromise and negotiation are effective means in promoting political development. In the future,if China wants to achieve rapid development in the political field, compromise and negotiation are essential.
