A Study On The Aged Narration Of Young Writers In The 21st Century

Ever since Liang Qichao's "Juvenile discussion" discovered juveniles and imagined China,we can found that in literary works relating the elderly,the image of the aged has mostly subjected to the ideological discourse of the corresponding era,which expressed as a kind of symbol;the intergenerational relationship between elderly and youth usually has presented as a binary opposition structure,which produced different variants to illustrated different ideologies.The 21 st century has entered the aging era,meanwhile the narrative of the elderly has undergone an overall evolution.The trend was: the old age image returned to the subject of aging from the symbolic token,and the intergenerational relationship returned to the daily from the grand narrative or the specific idea.In addition,there were corresponding divisions in the creation of different generations of writers.The creation of middle-aged and old-aged writers was constrained by the mindset and tended to be conceptualized and typed;in contrast,young writers' tried to get rid of the constraints of grand discourse and the intergenerational binary pattern,showing concern and expression for daily complexity.On the basis of sorting out the development of the aged writing,this paper will focus on the elderly image shaping,intergenerational relationship construction,and the retrospection of the the elderly 's life course in the new century young writers' aged narration.First,the image of old people returns to the subject of aging from signs and symbols.Facing the predicament of aging,elderly or trapped,or trying to break through.At the physical level,it is manifested as anxiety or reconciliation,and crisis or reconstruction of individual meaning at the spiritual/meaning level.Second,the construction of intergenerational relationship breaks through the dual model and presents diversity and dynamic.It is manifested in the function level as "give-default-balance",and the emotional level as "contain-escape-connect".Third,as the later stage of life,old age has accumulated the dual history of individual life and social changes.By tracing the life course of the elderly,the authors look for the relationship between their previous history and the current state of existence,try to make a voice and justify the aphasic elderly,which reflect a sense of humanistic care and historical morality.
