Food safety is a significant issue concerning the nation's economic development and people's lives,while food safety in schools is all about students' health and is closely linked to the future of the nation.In recent years,laws related to food safety have been enacted and improved by the Party and the state.The translation project of this report is based on Regulations on Management of Food Safety and Nutritional Health in Schools issued by the Ministry of Education on March 11,2019.Under the guidance of Eugene Nida's functional equivalence theory,the author summarizes the major difficulties in legal translation,such as the translation of legal terminology,translation of polysemy,and translation of long sentences.In view of the above difficulties,the author proposes corresponding translation strategies including conversion,addition and combination.By analyzing the lexical and syntactic difficulties during the translation of legal text,the author concludes corresponding methods,hoping to provide some references and enlightenment for translators when translating legal texts related to food safety.
