A Project Report On The E-C Translation Of The Sixth Chapter Of Society Without God

Social science texts act as an important tool for disseminating scientific and cultural knowledge,and translation of social science texts plays an important role in promoting cultural and academic exchanges between China and the West.It is a great honor for the author to participate in the E-C translation project of the book entitled Society without God,a book about the religious and social conditions in Denmark and Sweden.The introduction of this book can help domestic readers learn about the religious,social and cultural conditions in Scandinavian countries represented by Denmark and Sweden,and guide readers to think about the causes for some religious,social and cultural phenomena from the sociological perspective,thus spread cultural knowledge and promote cultural and academic exchanges between countries.This project report is written on the basis of the translation of the sixth chapter of the book,in which the author analyzes the major issues and difficulties encountered in the translation process,including the translation of proper nouns and terms and the translation of English long sentences,and then proposes corresponding translation strategies and translation skills.It is hoped that the proper nouns and terms extracted in the translation process will enrich the corpus in the field of social science,and the translation skills and translation strategies summarized will provide some reference to the E-C translation of social science texts.
