Study Of Combination Rule And Semantic Extraction On The Adjective-adverb Multi-category Word "Genben (??)"

“genben(??)”as a Multi-category word has complex syntactic and semantic problems.Therefore,this paper takes the modern Chinese vocabulary"genben(??)"as the research object,according to CCL corpus and BCC corpus,conducts a thorough investigation.Based on the theory of semantic grammar,combined with the traditional grammar,descriptive grammar and cognitive grammar theory,using quantitative and qualitative,description and analysis,semantic extraction and formal verification research methods,this paper systematically describes and verifies the syntactic distribution and word class combination rules of“genben(??)”,extracts its subjective deep semantics,which shows that adjective-adverb multi-category word“genben(??)have same semantics.Firstly,this paper describes the syntactic distribution of adjective“genben(??)”,sums up the rule of the co-occurrence of the adjective“genben(??)”and the noun.According to the survey we find that the adjective“genben(??)”mainly acts as an attribute of the subject or object,which usually followed by a noun.We think that the adjective“genben(??)”can only be matched with the abstract nouns with hierarchy,including four categories:cause category,problem category,attribute category and viewpoint category.Secondly,this paper describes the syntactic distribution of the adverb“genben(??)”,summarizes the rule of the co-occurrence of the adverb“genben(??)”and the verb.From the perspective of syntactic location,“genben(??)”usually appears after the subject,and in a few cases,it can also appear before the subject.From the perspective of syntactic status,“genben(??)”can also coexist with a large number of adverbs,their co-occurrence order is as follows:adverbs for turning>adverbs for euphemism/repeat adverb>“genben(??)”>negative adverb.From the perspective of combination rule,“genben(??)”can only be matched with the hierarchical verbs.“genben(??)”can often appear in the negative sentence because negation itself is hierarchical.When the predicate is positive structure,it also requires that the predicate verb must be hierarchical,including"Shi"and the verbs that indicate the transformation meaning,the resolution meaning,the opposition meaning and the absence meaning.Finally,this paper extracts the grammatical meaning of“genben(??)”and demonstrates the semantic consistency of“genben(??)”.By studying the syntactic distribution and word collocation of“genben(??)”,observing the grammaticalization process,we find that whether“genben(??)”is used as adjective or adverb,whether it co-exists with the positive structure or the negative structure,“genben(??)”always requires its collocation object to be hierarchical,and the whole structure expresses the semantics of deep hierarchy.What's more,“genben(??)”always reflects speaker's subjective understanding,perspective and emotion,so we can say that the adjective-adverb multi-category word“genben(??)”have the same subjective deep semantics.
