A Comparative Study On The Discourse Markers Of "Shuoqilai(???)" And "Shuolai(??)"

Based on a large-scale corpus survey,this article uses discourse linguistic theory and semantic grammar theory,adopts the principle of combining form and meaning,and applies comparative method,substitution method,co-occurrence analysis method,statistical analysis method,etc."shuo qilai(???)"and"shuo lai(??)",which are used as discourse markers,are studied in depth,discussing their discourse function,discourse relevance and conditions of use,and comparing their similarities and differences.From the same point of view,both"shuo qilai(???)"and"shuo lai(??)"can serve as discourse perspective markers and topic extension markers.When they are used as discourse perspective markers,they can be used as apparent perspective markers and deep perspective markers.When they act as topic extension markers,they can all be used in a supplementary discourse environment,and the utterances extended by them have pragmatic"speaker certainty"and"listener unknownness".From a different point of view,the main function of"shuo qilai(???)"is to act as a discourse perspective marker,while the main function of"shuo lai(??)"is to serve as a topic extension marker.When"shuo qilai(???)"and"shuo lai(??)"serve as discourse perspective markers,"shuo qilai(???)"mainly serves as an appearance perspective marker,and"shuo lai(??)"mainly serves as a deep perspective marker.At the same time,"shuo qilai(???)"is more distributed in location than"shuo lai(??)",and it is more flexible.When"shuo qilai(???)"and"shuo lai(??)"are used as topic extension markers,"shuo lai(??)"is only used for supplementary discourse correlation mode,while"shuo qilai(???)"can also be used for concatenation,progressive,turning and causal modes.When"shuo qilai(???)"and"shuo lai(??)"are both used in the supplementary correlation mode,"shuo lai(??)"is only used in the supplementary mode with the meaning of transition,while"shuo qilai(???)"can be used for both turning and non-turning supplements.
