The Research On The Characteristics And History Of United States' National Security Council

As China has been an important part of the international community,there is an increasing number of opportunities,which will accelerate our development.Nevertheless,China also faces various challenges,especially the one from National Security.We have been so used to connecting national security issues with territory,sovereign rights and military forces,so that some long-term and potential national security issues were ignored.In recent years,China's national security issues have attracted more and more attention.Policy-makers have fully realized the different threats China has been facing.As a result,government has taken some dramatic actions to cope with all the security threats.Discussed in Chinese 18th CPC Central Committee Third Plenary Meeting,it is decided that on November 12th,2013,China officially established the new National Security Council.However,throughout the contemporary history of People's Republic of China,there has never been a similar organization like this.Therefore,it is urgent and necessary to answer all the questions about this organization,like how it is built,what the internal structure is and how to operate it.Furthermore,what kind of functions and responsibilities does this organization have?As a super power country,The United States has had the National Security Council since 1947.After more than 60 years' development,it has become more and more mature in organization structure,operation as well as policy-making decisions.This study is going to explore the internal structure,operation mechanism and functions of United States' National Security Council throughout the historical facts.An also,I am hoping to find the rules that are behind this gigantic organization.Although there are imperfections in this agency,it does not affect its functions of protecting country's security and coordinating foreign affairs.It will have very practical guidance to help the management of China's National Security issues.In current world,all the developed countries have National Security Councils or similar organizations to manage issues relevant to country's safety.Even now,more and more developing countries are learning and trying to do the same.It is the choice of times and history for us to establish a special agency for National Security affairs and it is a right choice.Only if can we go along with the historical trend,we will find our way easier in this complex world.I believe the establishment of an outstanding National Security Council will be an essential step for the great rejuvenation of China.
