Research On Cooperation Between Lao And Chinese Parties After Establishment Of Bilateral Diplomatic Relation

Lao People's Democratic Republic and People's Republic of China are neighboring countries,sharing water and mountains.Parties,governments and peoples from both countries have been supportive to one another.On 25th April 1961,Lao PDR and China officially established the diplomatic relationship and the diplomatic tie has been going on for more than 50 years now.Under the leadership of both parties and governments,the diplomatic relationship has been tightened due to similarities in the governance regime,common aspirations and visions moving towards a socialist regime.Both Lao PDR and China has entered into partnership in the pursuit of their paths to socialism,open transformation,serving people,peaceful development,and building a harmony world.These are the ultimate goals of the two parties and peoples of the two countries as well as the foundations and goals in themselves for international cooperation of the two parties.Despite a misunderstanding in the late 1980s,the two countries had maintained the tie and since 1989 that tie relationship has been increasingly enhanced.Since then,the two countries have cooperated to develop both countries,following a socialism pathway based on the Marxism philosophy,beliefs in the leadership of parties to collectively achieve the goals.Since the start of the 21st Century,leaders of the two countries have exchanged multiple visits on a regular basis,enhancing the tie greatly.When the tie between the two countries is maintained and constantly developed,this will benefit the development of the two countries,region and the world.This thesis consists of 6 Chapters,including Introduction which explains about the meaning and significance of this research topic,Literature Review,Conceptual Framework and Research Methodology.The Findings are divided into four main parts.Part I introduces the foundation for developing the tie between the two parties,which will demonstrate the global situation of that time,using theory on relationship between the two socialist parties based on Marxism philosophy.Part ? elaborates on the expansion of the tie between the two parties,which will explain contents and characteristics of the cooperation between the two parties in different eras,including pre-establishment of diplomatic tie,during early stage of this tie,during the period when the two countries had misunderstanding,and when the tie was revitalized.Part ? evaluates the cooperation between the two parties by showcasing the achievements from this cooperation as well as analyzing its strengths and weakness.Part IV provides recommendations to enhance the cooperation of the two parties through theories and practices.Lastly,Conclusion Chapter is to summarize the key points of the thesis.Being led by communist parties with common aspirations and goals,Lao PDR and China are increasingly transforming themselves to the outside world.On behalf of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party members,I hope that I could contribute through this thesis to the fruitful cooperation between the two parties.
