The Study On The Relationship Between Regional Ethnic Political Parties And National Governance Models In Western Countries

In national regions require the special treatment has been common in western countries because of their different ethnic language and culture.It is also a common practice to make their own interests achieved by national movements in the process of historical development.With the development of party politics,more and more nationalists began to participate in political life through the organization form of nationalist party.Then they put forward further appeal,which is the regional national autonomy.Initially,as the advocator for protecting national interests,regional nationalist parties suggest national identity is different from national identity,people should enjoy national autonomy to realize the national interests as the propaganda strategy.Theygained the support of many people in the region.Through the autonomy demands,regional nationalist parties strengthen their political power and gradually rise.So that they can play games on regional autonomy with governments of the national level.Whether in a single country or a federal system,national governance institutions are more cautious about the issue of national governance.Using autonomy to exchange for independence is aroutine.The nationalist party,which come from the ethnic minority areas,pursuit for autonomy or independence,become a political power in the process of western national governance.The independent referendum activities began to challenge the state sovereignty.In order to cope with the stress of more and more autonomous rights which are from national regions,and even a few extreme nationalists attempt to separate pressure of the country,the government of national level constantly adjust the mode of governance in national regions.By giving more autonomy in ethnic minority areas,meeting the needs about economic and cultural interests,the central government want to strive for more agree to maintain national unity.At the same time,the traditional big party also prevented the expansion of national party power in the contest of votes.This paper selected six ethnic regional as studying-case,and according the similar relationship between central government and national regions,we group them for combing the relations between the regional nationalist party and the central govemment.Although the issue of national separation has its particularity,it is the same in some ways.When the nationalist party pursues self-government with a moderate attitude,it is more able to agree with the central government.Violence and independence referendum exercise promote the pace of the government to adjust national governance policies,but the extreme radical nationalists usually cannot be the mainstream political power of the ethnic minority areas in the end.Is it determined to be independent or more self-government in line with the development of ethnic areas?Comprehensive the governance of six ethnic minority areas,this paper find that it's a effective measure to ease conflictbetween nation and ethnic minority areas by giving more rights of self-government.And italso can achieve the objectives of safeguarding their rights and interests.As the nationalist party gradually divided,the moderate in the mainstream play an increasingly important role.Even the independent appeal are insisted by part of the radical nationalists,it's still in a minority position.For most of the people in the region or in the international community,national separation have been isolated from the mainstream.The central government's adjustment of the national regional governance framework in order to cope with the separation pressure,has had a great impact on the development of the regional nationalist party.National party can involve in political competition on the basis of the region enjoys more autonomy.Relying on their advantage of identity in the region,they win more votes for support and expand influence in nationwide.Through comparing the development of different ethnic regional autonomy,and studying the influence about theadjustment of national governance framework for the nationalist party,this paper want tomake a clear understanding about national governance issues of historical and contemporary in western countries.Autonomy and independence are believed to be two ways of solving the national problems.Choosing autonomy is more popular for the central government than independence,and also can be achieved easily,so the nationalist parties often tend to strive for more autonomy after rising.The central government adjusted the governance framework in the ethnic areas,including decentralization of autonomy and the protection of the language and culture of the ethnic minority areas,which has alleviated the dissatisfaction of the people in the ethnic areas.The timely adjustment of this kind of national governance framework,has certain reference significance to the relations between the state and the nationalist party.
