A Study On The Social Assistance Of The Aged With Dementia From The Perspective Of Feasible Ability Theory

Twenty-first Century is the most urgent time to solve the problem of population aging,and dementia is one of the most difficult issues in population aging.Dementia has been discovered for more than 100 years since 1906,and it is a worldwide difficult problem to be overcome.Today,it still can not find the fundamental cause and can not cure the illness.Dementia removes the health of the elderly,erodes their memory,depresses their mood,misbehaves,develops mental illness of dementia,and requires long-term family care and family burdens.According to authoritative surveys,among these elderly people,the number of dementia patients in our country was 5.69 million in 2010,accounting for one quarter of the patients in the world.It is projected to increase to 10.09 million by 2025.The disease has become one of the major lethal diseases of the elderly in modern society and a malignant tumor that poses a serious threat to the mental health of human beings in later life.The 19 th Plenary Session of the Chinese Communist Party made it clear that building a policy system of aging,filial piety and old-age respect and social environment,advancing the combination of medical and nursing services,and accelerating the development of aging and industries will point the way for the pension for the Chinese characteristics in the new era.Also pointed out the direction of social assistance for dementia elderly.In this paper,the city of Shenyang city community as the research object,based on the existing problems of social assistance for the elderly,based on the feasibility of using Amartya Sen's analysis of the causes of the problem and propose specific solutions.This article is divided into five parts altogether.The first part is the background and meaning of the thesis.Based on the overview of the research results at home and abroad,the research methods and research ideas of this paper are put forward.At the same time,the author points out the innovation of this paper.The second part: the definition of the basic concepts of the elderly,the elderly with dementia and social assistance,as well as the summary of Amartya Sen's theory of viability: mainly from political freedom,economic conditions,social opportunities,transparency and protection The five aspects of sexual security analysis,to build the theoretical framework of the thesis.The third part: According to the effective investigation method to obtain the research conclusion,and fully understand the current situation of social assistance for the elderly with dementia in Shenyang municipal government and the main problems that social dementia faces.Part IV: Aimed at the problem of social assistance for dementia elderly in municipal community,using Amartya Sen's viability theory to deeply analyze the causes and find out the underlying causes of the social assistance problem of dementia elderly.The fifth part: Based on Amartya Sen's theory of viable abilities,this article puts forward an effective countermeasure to the problem of social assistance to the dementia elderly in the municipal government of Shenyang by comprehensive and in-depth exploration of the causes,and formulates an effective solution to the problem.So that demented seniors can get more effective social assistance so that they can receive more humane care and later life can spend more comfortably.
