Since the 1950s of last century, the South China Sea dispute has begun to appear.China, the Taiwan authorities,Vietnam, the Philippines, and France are the main disputers on the territorial sovereignty of the Nansha Islands and the Xisha Islands. The United States has always been the development of disputes as the largest foreign domain. To exert their influence, nowadays, the United States has become more and more complicated due to the United States' more active involvement in South China Sea affairs. The rise of China has challenged the United States' leading position in the Asia-Pacific region. The new Asian geopolitical order centered on China is constantly being formed. The current US East Asian policy reflects the traditional taboo against the emerging emerging countries. And defense.Behind the power politics competition of big powers is the pursuit of strategic interests. The US policy on the South China Sea has always been changing along with the interests of the United States itself.I used a historical comparison method to write this paper. The South China Sea has established a position to restore the resolution process of the US South China Sea policy. At the same time,it compares with the current US South China Sea policy, analyzes the reasons for changes in the US South China Sea policy from the three dimensions of the international situation, strength comparison, and the US's own maritime space hegemony. To better predict the future trend of the US South China Sea policy. In the first section of the article, the U.S.national diplomacy was used to decipher the archives, and the main contents of the early South China Sea policy were analyzed:The United States actually favored recognition of China's territorial sovereignty over the South China Sea during the end of World War ?,and the South China Sea dispute did not become the main one between China and the United States.Controversy, but in the 1950s began to adopt a ambiguous policy that did not indicate its position. At the same time,it refused to serve as a third-party mediation country and also refused to make a ruling on the South China Sea islands by the International Arbitration Tribunal. The second section of the article mainly introduces the adjustments and changes in the US South China Sea policy since 2008.It is intended to show the differences and links with the South China Sea policy of the 1950s.From this section,it can be seen that the South China Sea dispute has become a major issue between China and the United States. What is so different from what happened more than half a century ago is that the United States has intervened in the affairs of the South China Sea in all aspects of military affairs, diplomacy, and laws.By comparing the differences between the early US policy and the current South China Sea policy,we conclude in the third section the causes of changes in the US South China Sea policy:Changes in the international system and the strengths between China and the United States in different eras prompted the adjustment of the US South China Sea policy, maintenance of global sea and air hegemony, and international The interests are the fundamental driving force for the United States to change its South China Sea policy. In addition, the current South China Sea policy also has some development and inheritance of early policies. The strategic thinking for the expansion of the"containment of communism" forces in the early days has always existed in the course of the United States' formulation of its China policy. The change in overall strength is the most important factor for the United States to consider adjusting its South China Sea policy. In comparing the past experience of the US South China Sea policy and analyzing the reasons for its changes,we can finally draw the conclusion of this paper:China was just established in the 1950s,and China's maritime strength was not enough to pose a threat to the United States. At that time, the South China Sea issue. It does not appear to the United States that the so-called Chinese maritime military forces are challenging.Although there was still a cold war between China and the United States in the 1950s,because of China's weak power, the United States did not regard the South China Sea dispute as an important issue. However, now that China's power has changed, this change in power balance has led to a fundamental change in the notion of the United States' influence and role in China's current South China Sea issue. The changes in relations between nations are determined by the comparison of strengths. The essence of international relations is power politics. The current collision between the two old and new maritime forces in China and the United States in the South China Sea is an embodiment of power politics. The formulation of the US South China Sea policy will not be based on historical basic facts and legal grounds.Satisfying the hegemony of maritime and air hegemony as well as the needs of national interests is the fundamental starting point for its policy formulation. The current US South China Sea policy not only conforms to the needs of the United States for domestic realism, but also fits the logic of freedom hegemony and has considerable stability. The formulation of the US South China Sea policy will not be based on historical basic facts and legal principles, and satisfying the needs of geopolitics and national interests is the fundamental starting point for its policy formulation. Now that the situation in the South China Sea is fluctuating, the fundamental problem is that the structural contradictions between China and the United States have not been resolved. The emergence of emerging countries that may threaten the U.S.hegemony status will certainly be weighed down by the United States during its rise.Looking at the development of the United States' South China Sea policy, the change of world situation and the change of national power are the direct factors of its change of policy. To safeguard the interests of the United States under the US global hegemony system is the basis for formulating the US South China Sea policy.
