Study On The Characteristics And Social Functions Of The Song Dynasty’s Amnesty System

The article is based on the Song Dynasty’s amnesty system.By using the methods of comparison,inductive statistics and historical theory to study the related issues of the Song Dynasty’s amnesty system.Through the analysis of the system,it can help us better understand the society of Song Dynasty.The system developed to the Song Dynasty,its content is gradually enriched,and presenting some personalized new features.It has a dialectical function to the development of Song Dynasty.Although there is a conflict with the law,it is used as a means of imperial justice,which determines that it cannot be abolished in feudal society.There are five parts in the structure of the article.Part one is introduction,including research review,research methods,research ideas and innovation.Part two is overview,it is mainly about the amnesty system’ meaning,origin,and classification.Based on ancient literature and previous studies,it is divided into “da she”、“qu she”、“de yin ” and “lu qiu”.Part three is about the content of the Song Dynasty’s amnesty system.Through the introduction of the amnesty system to the Song Dynasty,its contents include basic penalty reduction,more directly reflected in the development of bounty contents.Bounty contents were gradually enriched and some even become fixed.In terms of different preferential treatment of officials,sergeant and people,they all reflected that the amnesty is a means of strengthening the power of the rulers,strengthening the imperial power and consolidating its political status.Part four is about features of the Song Dynasty’s amnesty system.This chapter mainly uses the method of comparison and induction statistics.As compared with previous generation,institutionalization is gradually strengthened.And it presents more kinds,more number of times,the fixation of the amnesty of ritual,the ceremony is more solemn and complicated.Part five is the social function of the Song Dynasty’s amnesty system.Based on the understanding of the contents,characteristics of the system and the status of its implementation,then discussing the social functions of the system in the Song Dynasty.This paper analyzes the functions from both positive and negative aspects.
