With the change of society and the transformation of economic structure, the rising of housing price is a particularly important social and economic phenomenon in China. It affects each aspect of people's life.First marriage is an event which nearly all people will experience in the society,so it will inevitably be affected by the housing price.Marriage is also directly correlated to the fertility and population growth,so it is definitely an important livelihood issue. In recent decades, the average age of first marriage is rising steadily, and the phenomenon of unmarried women and late marriage has also attracted public attention. To comprehensively study the relationship between housing price and the marriage,in our study, based on 2001-2015 panel data of 31 provinces,we use PCSE method to study the influence of housing price on the marriage rate,we find that the effect of housing price on marriage rate shows an inverted u-shaped curve.Based on China's general social survey data in 2013,we use cloglog model to study the effect of housing price on marriage risk.We find that the increase of housing price will lead to the decrease of marriage risk.In other words, the increase of housing price will lead to the decrease of the possibility of first marriage.Based on China's general social survey data in 2013,we use OLS model and 3SLS model to study the effect of housing prices on age at first marriage,we find that there is significant negative influence between housing price and the age at first marriage.
