Research On The Health Condition Of Off-farm Workers From The Perspective Of Social Integration

This article is based on the perspective of social integration,with the aid of related theories such as the Grossman Health Demand Theory and the Immigrant Society Integration Theory,using the Cross-sectional data in 2013 from the China General Social Survey(CGSS),analyzes the health condition of off-farm workers and the health differences between off-farm workers,rural residents have never been migrant workers,off-farm workers returning home and urban residents from the three dimensions of self-rated health,physical health and mental health.From the economic,institutional,cultural and psychological four levels to extract the main factors of social integration of off-farm workers,and focusing on the impact of social integration on the health of off-farm workers.Using the interviews with off-farm workers to further analyze the health and social integration of off-farm workers,and further analyze the internal mechanisms that affect the health of off-farm workers through social support,medical resources,health awareness and behavior.Through research,it is found that:(1)The off-farm worker group bears greater physical and mental health risks than the urban resident population.The health damage is one of the important factors that cause off-farm workers to return home.At present,the physiological health and mental health status of migrant workers are not optimistic.(2)The social integration of off-farm workers has a significant positive impact on their self-evaluation health,physical health and mental health,and all-round promotion of social integration of off-farm workers is an effective way to resist the impact of health.In terms of group differences,social integration can promote the physical and mental health of the older generation of off-farm workers.The correlation between the health of male off-farm workers and their social integration is greater than that of female off-farm workers.(3)Social integration can have a positive impact on the physical health and mental health of off-farm workers through social support mechanisms,medical resources,and health awareness and behavioral mechanisms.Under the dual background of the urbanization and the "healthy China" strategy,the government must examine the health problems of off-farm workers from a higher level,and make greater efforts to supplement the health of off-farm workers.Formulate and adjust feasible measures to promote the economic integration,institutional integration,cultural integration and psychological integration of off-farm workers,and increase the degree of social integration and social integration of off-farm workers.Accurately link the off-farm workers' health needs and gradually reduce the differences in health among different groups of people.Off-farm workers themselves must also strengthen their social empowerment,nurture their main health responsibility,and actively seek health protection resources.
