Since ancient times,Diaoyu Islands has always been an inherent territory of China as an affiliated island in Taiwan. In recent years, the sovereignty dispute between China and Japan on the Diaoyu Islands has intensified.Except it,the status of Ryukyu also is a problem.Looking back carefully, how the Diaoyu islands dispute originated? It's related to Ryukyus. The relationship between China and Ryukyu can be traced back to the Ming Dynasty. In 1372,the two countries established confessional relations. The strategic position of Ryukyu and its trade with China have triggered Japan's ambiguity with Ryukyu. In 1979,Japan invaded Ryukyu, and the Ryukyu was destroyed. After World War ?,U.S.and Japan Signed San Francisco Peace Treaty.Japan agrees to place the Ryukyu Islands under the UN's escrow, with the U.S.as the custodian country. The United States unilaterally interprets the disposal of the territory of Ryukyu in the "San Francisco Peace Treaty".It concludes that Japan has "residual sovereignty."The United States did not follow the UN Charter or San Francisco Peace Treaty.During the trusteeship period,it illegally transferred the Diaoyu Islands in the Chinese territory to the "trusted area," which triggered the Diaoyu Islands dispute. In 1971,when the United States returned the "regime" to Japan,it also included the Diaoyu Islands as a "return area" This action caused China's strong opposition and protests. The United States has repeatedly stated that its "return to Japan" is"Administering Regime".The issue of sovereignty over disputed areas is handled by the parties concerned through consultations. The United States holds a neutral position. The U.S.theory of "residual sovereignty" violates historical facts as well as international law and is the root cause of the Sino-Japanese Diaoyu Islands dispute. In other words, the United States is a troublemaker in the Sino-Japanese dispute over Diaoyu Islands.
