In The Context Of Active Aging And Networking,the Analysis Of Social Participation And Internet Usage Of The Elderly

This research is based on the activity theory of the sociology of the elderly and explains the fact that life in old age should remain as active as the middle age.There are two main hypotheses proposed.which are "In the age of the Internet,for the elderly,the social participation of the elderly will have an impact on the making use of Internet" and "The social participation of the elderly will have an impact on the willingness of elderly people to purchase online".Using the data of 2012 national social science fund project "pension spending and pension industry development research",discussed the internet using of the elderly and the influence factors of the Internet using.The basic conclusion of this research is:The current level of social participation and Internet using of the elderly are not optimistic.Among the factors of social participation of the elderly,in different degrees,the times of trips,re-employment,and participation in entertainment activities all affect the Internet using of the elderly and the willingness of online shopping.Compared with the elderly who are not re-employed,the elderly who choose to re-employment will more often obtain information through the Internet;the higher the degree of participation of the elderly in entertainment activities,the more purchasing will take place on the Internet;the more times the elderly travel,the more frequent the use of the Internet in daily life,and the greater the willingness to online shopping.Among the personal factors of the elderly,age and education have become major factors which are affecting the using of the elderly and the willingness of online shopping.For the elderly,the older they are,The less education they have,the less Internet using in their lives,at the same time,the less willingness to online shopping of them.However,because of the limitations of my research ability,the exploration of this research is still at a relatively superficial level.The further exploration of the relationship between the elderly's social participation and the Internet using has yet to be discussed and analyzed in the future.
