Research On Lujiangba Dai National Social Change

In history,Yunnan the border area has always been regarded as a barbarian land.The border area developed very different from the central plains because of the special natural and geographical environment in the latter area.The rulers of past dynasties are constantly strengthening the control of the state over the border areas,but the regional society under the Tusi's governance has long been under the interaction of tradition and external forces,which often presents different social scenes.Lujiangba,an area which between the central plains and the Dai nationality region,is surrounded by miasma for long time.So objectively,it has been the relatively closed region.Due to the aforesaid reasons,there existed the “middle” society—a border society which between the Han dynasty's power and the Dai nationality's local chieftain groups.During the Ming and Qing dynasty,the local chieftains tried to shape a adaptive mechanism that“close” to the majesty proactively.On the other hand,they also enlisted the support from other local chieftains of the Dai nationality's region by intermarriage.The economy and religious system of folk society had taken strong root under the complete power of local chieftain.Until when the country was built,the stable form of organization at the basic level was fluctuated,and the country began to put particular emphasis on improving disaster and environment,thus there exited a new aspect in this area.But the destruction and ruin during the movement of historical transition were lethal to the underclass.After the opening-up and reforms,the brand new chance and challenge had pushed Lujiangba into the tendency of globalization.The demand of economic growth promoted the phenomenon of creative culture to appear,the tradition was mixed and diversified for local needs,and as a result,Lujiangba has changed successfully into a compound society from traditional Dai nationality's society.Along with the entrance of “power of country” and the adjustment of local adaptive mechanism,the process of society history drew the outline of a correlative picture which contain country&local,Han&Dai nationalities,environment&politics.This paper mainly teased out the development of the society history in Lujiangba area and discussed the social system process of adaption—deconstruction—remodelings and thatunder multiple powers,pondered that how the country became an important power to shape the society in above process and figured out the hidden social motive of the cultural appearance in the Dai nationality society of border area,and tried to describe a vivid history prospect of how to form the “middle zone” which is between Han culture and Dai culture,centre and border.
