| With the emergence of the fourth wave of modern terrorism in the world since the 1980 s,the development of terrorist activities shows some new features and trends.Among them,frequent female involvement is particularly noticeable.Compared with previous terrorist activities,female involvement in crimes related to terrorism is currently expanding horizontally and appearing in many countries and organizations;deepening their participation methods,extending spiritual support and logistical support to more various roles such as recruiting members,implementing attacks and making plans,etc.And it shows characteristics of unbalanced organization distribution and high lethality of attacks.The interaction of various factors is the basic motivation for female involvement in crimes related to terrorism,such as economic distress,gender distinctions,distortions in religious cognition,needs of terrorist organizations,and women's own characteristics,etc.Female involvement in crimes related to terrorism in Xinjiang also shows the characteristics of family orientation and strong initiative in participation,which are closely related to the penetration of the "three forces—terrorism,separatism and extremism",the spread of illegal religious activities,and the low level of female education.This article takes the phenomenon of female involvement in crimes related to terrorism as the subject of research.At first,it uses data analysis to reveal the characteristics that are easily overlooked in female involvement,and explores its social roots and individual motivations.Then,it carries out multi-angle analysis based on the specific situation of female involvement in crimes related to terrorism in Xinjiang.And finally,it takes women's development and optimization of external environment as two breakthrough points,and suggests some methods to prevent and combat female involvement in crimes related to terrorism,so as to effectively reduce female involvement and fight for women's support for counter-terrorism work. |
